Product Description
Be Who You Are is one of the earliest published books of dialogues with Jean Klein. Written in the lucid and eloquent style which characterises his work, each chapter is composed of an introductory discourse followed by questions and answers. "The 'eternal present', our theme in these meetings, lies within the depth of ourselves. It is the eternal awareness of the Self. Seen from the Ultimate, the world projected by the mind appears and disappears, in other words, it "becomes". When we talk of time and space, it must be thoroughly understood that their reality is relative, it is a reality in the world of becoming. But beyond space-time is that stillness which knows no becoming." Jean Klein, master of Advaita Vedanta in the tradition of Ramana Maharshi and Atmananda Krishna Menon and author of many books on non-dualism, spent several years in India going deeply into the subjects of Advaita and Yoga. In 1955 the truth of non-dualism became a living reality. From 1960 he taught in Europe and later in the United States. This much sought after book, by one of the most important exponents of Advaita in recent years, is now available again from Non-Duality Press. --This text refers to an alternate Paperback edition.

Product Description
"We have come to satisfy the inner need to know ourselves, to share our oneness, to hear directly what life is. To receive life one must be open to it. Life can only be understood by life. This means that the being open is life itself. During these meetings, be open to the openness, allow yourself to be deeply impregnated by the sayings that come directly from life. To be impregnated, the mind must be free from wrong knowing, that is, free from imposing an independent existence on all that is objective. Nothing that can be known has existence in itself. It depends on a knower. The knower is consciousness. Only consciousness never changes. We must find out what never changes in us." Beyond Knowledge is a crystallization in word-form of this timeless wisdom. To read these dialogues is to enter into a scale of inquiry and clarity that knows no compromise. It carries one through to the end of thought and to the beginning of self-knowledge. Jean Klein, master of Advaita Vedanta in the tradition of Ramana Maharshi and Atmananda Krishna Menon and author of many books on non-dualism, spent several years in India going deeply into the subjects of Advaita and Yoga. In 1955 the truth of non-dualism became a living reality. From 1960 he taught in Europe and later in the United states. In this book he once again offers us one of the clearest and most direct expositions of Advaita in our times. "The root of all desires is the one desire: to come home, to be at peace. There may be a moment in life when our compensatory activities, the accumulation of money, learning and objects, leaves us feeling deeply apathetic. This can motivate us towards the search for our real nature beyond appearances. We may find ourselves asking, 'Why am I here? What is life? Who am I?' Sooner or later any intelligent person asks these questions. What you are looking for is what you already are, not what you will become. What you already are is the answer and the source of the question. In this lies its power of transformation. It is a present actual fact. Looking to become something is completely conceptual, merely an idea. The seeker will discover that he is what he seeks and that what he seeks is the source of the inquiry."

Product Description
In the late 1980s Jean Klein was invited to give seminars in the Santa Cruz Mountains of California. In this isolated, peaceful mountain setting, a small group of students gathered with their life questions. The conversations of the 1988 seminar were transcribed and printed as a pamphlet entitled Mount Madonna Dialogues, but it was felt that the contents of all of the seminars were rich and rewarding enough to be gathered into a more substantial publication. This book is the result. Time and timelessness meet in these dialogues that focus on the very root of human experience-that pointless point in which all apparent dualities are reconciled and all that lives has forever lived. Here in these still waters says Jean Klein is the essence and the All - that which neither knows nor needs the other in order to define itself. These dialogues are rich with meaning yet they speak in a language that is as simple direct and inspiring as the pointless point itself.

Nature of Man According to the Vedanta

Format: Paperback

Product Description
In The Nature of Man According to the Vedanta, John Levy makes the classic argument against subject-object duality and determines that the true Self cannot be known (as to know it would be to objectify it). Oddly enough, this is a liberating discovery, as we see that our essence cannot be altered by anything we do or anything that happens to us. This frees us to tackle anything, to jump in to the stream of life and enjoy the experience, because at the core of our existence is an untouchable reality. This book is one of the finest expressions of non-dualist philosophy. A must-have for those seeking deeper insight into the essential nature of the human being.

About the Author
John Levy was a wealthy English mystic, teacher, musician, and artist who was an expert in Asian folk music. He had his own radio program about this subject on the BBC. At one point in his life Levy decided to give away his entire fortune and go to live for a time in India with only a loincloth. Levy spent many years there with his guru, Krishna Menon, assisting him with the English translations of his guru’s books Atma Darshan and Atma Niviriti.

He then brought his knowledge of Advaita Vedanta to the West in an accessible form through his teaching work and the publication of his two books. John Levy died in London in 1976.

Synopsis: Editorial Reviews

Product Description
Inspired by Sri Atmananda (Krishna Menon), the Direct Path is a "pathless path." It simply articulates the being of you and the world as loving, open, clear awareness. If this truth is realized as your experience, then nothing need be done. The path disappears, and life is lived in sweetness and celebration! But if there are still questions or doubts, the Direct Path contains unique and powerful resources that stabilize this truth as your everyday reality. This is a revised edition of the book, expanded to add chapters on the Direct Path in addition to its selection of dialogs from a decade of "Nondual Dinner" gatherings. The first three chapters unfold the basics of the Direct Path, such as standing as awareness, being in love with awareness, and exploring awareness. Included are several experiments that help establish your everyday experience as awareness always and already. The dialogs cover questions such as the desire for enlightenment experiences, the relationship between the brain and awareness, the question of "nondually-correct" language, the belief in physical and mental objects, the idea of having a sage's experience, and more.

Synopsis: Editorial Reviews

Product Description
The purpose of Rupert's book is to look clearly and simply at the nature of experience, without any attempt to change it. A series of contemplations lead us gently but directly to see that our essential nature is neither a body nor a mind. It is the conscious Presence that is aware of this current experience. As such it is nothing that can be experienced as an object and yet it is undeniably present. However, these contemplations go much further than this. As we take our stand knowingly as this conscious Presence that we always already are, and reconsider the objects of the body, mind and world, we find that they do not simply appear to this Presence, they appear within it. And further exploration reveals that they do not simply appear within this Presence but as this Presence. Finally we are led to see that it is in fact this very Presence itself that takes the shape of our experience from moment to moment whilst always remaining only itself. We see that our experience is and has only ever been one seamless totality with no separate entities or objects anywhere to be found.

Synopsis: Book Description

Your self, aware presence, knows no resistance to any appearance and, as such, is happiness itself; like the empty space of a room it cannot be disturbed and is, therefore, peace itself; like this page, it is intimately one with whatever appears on it and is thus love itself; and like water that is not affected by the shape of a wave, it is pure freedom. Causeless joy, imperturbable peace, love that knows no opposite and freedom at the heart of all experience....this is your ever-present nature under all circumstances. Rupert Spira Presence is a profound and luminous book with great power and is obviously the fruit of many years of contemplation. These two volumes together are a relentless and utterly thorough examination of the nature of experience, exploring every square centimeter of the territory with absolute excellence and ruthlessly precise analysis. Their astuteness and clarity will be extremely exciting to those readers who are ready for the next steps in lifting the veil of separation and I suspect it will become a spiritual classic that readers will savour slowly and return to again and again. Presence: The Intimacy of All Experience - Volume 2
Author: Rupert Spira
Editor/Commentator:
Publisher: Non-Duality Press
ISBN: 978-1-908664-04-4
Format: Paperback
Pages: 222
List Price: $12.15
Synopsis: Book Description

All that is known is experiencing and experiencing is not divided into one part (an inside self) that experiences and another part (an outside object, other or world) that is experienced. Experiencing is seamless and intimate, made of 'knowing' or Awareness alone. This intimacy, in which there is no room for selves, objects or others, is love itself. It lies at its heart of all experience, completely available under all circumstances. Rupert Spira Presence is one of the most exciting and illuminating books on non-duality I have encountered and its precision, articulateness in naming the nameless, unparalleled depth and ability to inspire were constantly appreciated. This book succeeds in taking the reader beyond concepts and into the experiential level. The irony is that this work, which is so advanced and sophisticated in its use of language, thought and conceptualization, is inexorably directed towards pure experiencing. It is a brilliant and lucid work carrying great strength and authority suggesting it is an indisputable source of Truth. The Direct Path: A User Guide
Author: Greg Goode
Editor/Commentator:
Publisher: Non-Duality Press
ISBN: 978-1-908664-02-0
Format: Paperback
Pages: 250
List Price: $12.46
Synopsis: Book Description

Have you ever done nondual inquiry and said to yourself, "I understand it intellectually but I don't feel it. It's not my experience!" If so, The Direct Path could be for you. This book is the "missing manual" to the Direct Path. For the first time in print, Direct-Path inquiry is presented from beginning to end and beyond, in a "user-friendly" way. The core of the book is a set of 40 experiments designed to help dissolve the most common nondual sticking points from simple to subtle. The experiments cover the world, the body, the mind, abstract objects and witnessing awareness. You are taken step by step from the simple perception of a physical object all the way to the collapse of the witness into pure consciousness. Your "take-away" is that there's no experiential doubt that you and all things are awareness, openness and love. Also included are three tables of contents, illustrations, an index, and a section on teaching and the notion of a "post-nondual realization." This book can be utilized on its own or as a companion volume to the author's Standing as Awareness.
